Fluffy Duck

Frozen pineapple margarita in a glass on a kitchen counter with wooden utensils and a jar in the background.

I have had some request for this cocktail. Granted, the name probably could use some re-vamping but your not going to forget this one. After you taste this cocktail, you’ll be plucking these drinks off the line like water off a duck’s back.

  • 1 part advocaat* liqueur
  • 1 part creme de cacao
  • Lemon/lime soda (i.e., 7-up)
  • Crushed ice
  • Margarita glass, chilled
  • Stirrer
  • Fill chilled glass to about one quarter with crushed ice.
  • Pour the creme de cacao over crushed ice.
  • Pour in the advocaat
  • Slowly fill with soda. Stir, and serve.
  • This is a dutch liqueur, made from a blend of unpasteurised egg yolks, sugar, aromatic spirits, and grape brandy with a hint of vanilla.
You can also add a splash of cointreau. If you don’t like the fizz, replace soda with lemonade.
